THE BAND IS WIDELY REGARDED AS THE WORLD’S FIRST SUCCESSFUL SUPERGROUP. CREAM MADE A SIGNIIFICANT IMPACT ON POPULAR MUSIC OF THE TIME ALONG WITH JIMI HENDRIX AND OTHER NOTABLE GUITARIST AND BANDS, POPULARISED THE USE OF THE WAH-WHA PEDAL THAT FORESHADOWED AND INFLUENCED BANDS LIKE LED ZEPPELIN, DEEP PURPLE AND BLACK SABBATH. THE GROUP’S THIRD ALBUM, WHEELS OF FIRE IN 1968 WAS THE WORLD’S FIRST PLATINUM SELLING DOUBLE ALBUM.
